A very fine demi lune-shaped gilded Gustavian console table with a limestone top made in Stockholm c:a 1785. The size is 82 x 43 x 77 cm.
The console table is possibly made by Jean Baptiste Masreliez (1753-1801). The legs and the lower stretcher is very similar to other tables by him.
Jean Baptiste Masreliez is especially known for his contribution to the interior in the Haga Pavilion for King Gustaf III. The construction of the Haga Pavilion was finished in 1787 and is one of the finest examples of the Gustavian style.
